Description:
Meruelo Media, located in Burbank, CA, is currently seeking a part time Videographer/Editor to shoot & edit in-studio interviews, concerts, red carpets, sales productions and promotional events with efficiency & effectiveness. We are looking for a videographer/editor that is adept in portraying visual narratives, moods and intentions through captured & edited content. A flexible schedule is a must, including late nights for event coverage & possible (though infrequent) overnight shifts for time sensitive edit deliverables. This is a dynamic position that requires the videographer/editor to have reasonable knowledge of lighting and audio as well.
A part-time Videographer/Editor will be required to attend 1-2 events per month on weekends and/or evenings to cover station related and/or relevant events.
Responsibilities:
Able to shoot, capture, log and organize professional-quality footage Editorial storytelling
Fundamental understanding of green screen keying and compositing
Competency in videography and a basic understanding of "on location" lighting and sound
Capable of color correction for finished videos
Ability to provide final compression video files for both broadcast-quality and non-broadcast videos
Still photography
Graphic design for video format
To manage the web/design team & process.
Understanding of video flow, color and workspace

Effective team player with leadership capacity
Detailed oriented
Has a great eye for dynamic and/or ambient content

Proficient with industry level video lighting equipment and audio equipment
Proficient in motion design (preferred but not required)
Experience/Education:
BA or MFA Digital Media, Interaction Design, or related degree.
2 to 3 years of experience in audio/visual production or editing
High level of creativity, a passion for visual storytelling, and the demonstrated ability to create edgy, out-of-the-box concepts as well as more traditional corporate videos
Social media experience essential
Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud
Various video compression software types
High-level knowledge of various video cameras and video equipment
Proven experience in pre-production, production and post-production processes
Strong organizational and communication skills
Knowledge of Final Cut Pro X
Able to carry a video from rough-cut to finish, including broadcast legal video and audio standards. Ability to color correct & create a balanced, finished audio mix
Fluency in Adobe After Effects- primarily in the area of motion graphics and, to a lesser extent, VFX and compositing
Adobe Photoshop: Basic, fundamental understanding of Photoshop, layers, and using PSD files inside of After Effects
Other Skills and Abilities:
Has good organizational and time management skills and ability to work without direct supervision.
Ability to work evening, overnight and weekends.
Highly organized, computer proficient, and able to use standard office equipment (i.e., computer, copier, and fax machine.
