Robert Anderson: September 8, 1994

Approximately 150 broadcast, automotive and advertising executives honored Robert Anderson, Association Manager of the Southern California Chevrolet Dealers Association with the SCBA Lifetime Achievement Award on September 8, 1994 at the Ma Maison/Sofitel Hotel.

A veteran of more than forty years on the Southern California Advertising scene, Anderson began his career on release from the U.S. Marine Corps and was involved in radio and TV as an actor, producer, salesman, writer and director. An entrepreneur, he operated his own advertising agency for ten years and recently celebrated twenty years as Association Manager for the Chevrolet Dealers.

Anderson and radio sales pioneer Mort Sidley were prominent in the invention of radio's "30-30 plan," which brought millions of dollars to the medium in its post WW II years. He was also instrumental in campaigning for the introduction and passage of The Radio Ad Leasing Disclosure Act.
