Warren Williams Service


Warren Williams, former pd at KLSX in the ‘90s, died recently of a heart attack. He was 54. Warren arrived for his first visit in the Southland from KSRR/KKHT-Houston for morning drive at KNX/fm. He left in 1988 to program WOFX-Cincinnati and returned to Los Angeles in 1991 to be assistant pd at KLSX, later becoming pd in 1994.

After Warren left KLSX he formed a production company with Ronn Lipkin, (now with LA Theatre Works) and he worked for Larry Kahn with Sports Radio Network. He had a fulfilling voiceover career, and with the Voice of God, found success voicing imaging for tv news and sports across the country. He was also the voice talent for Sinclair Broadcast Group for many of their Fox TV stations around the country. 

He is survived by his wife, Kim, a sales executive with the Clear Channel/LA cluster, a 19-year-old daughter, Courtney, in college in Florida and a 15-year-old son, Cameron, in high school where they reside in Glendale. Warren will be buried in New York.

A local celebration of Warren Williams' life will take place on Sunday, March 21, 2010 from 2:00 - 6:00 pm
at the Angeles National Golf Club, 9401 Foothill Blvd, Sunland
